Selamat pagi (I think that means good morning)-<\/p>\n

We are on our second full day here. Right now, it’s about 7:40 am. We are currently 15 hours ahead of Pacific Time. So I think that would make it 4:40 pm on the west coast.\u00a0We have survived two nights (though not without some jet lag confusion about when we should be awake or asleep). Alisha is unpacking and the kids have been playing hard every chance they get. They each have their own room and they love it.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, we all bought motorcycle helmets. It’ll be a couple months before we are allowed to drive one, but we will still be riding with friends around town. Today, we are supposed to meet our house help. We have learned a few new phrases, but mostly, we just smile and nod, and let whoever we’re with do the talking. Although, we do know to ask a person’s name and introduce ourselves and we look forward to learning\u00a0to communicate with people.<\/p>\n

Thank you for all your prayers for our trip over. We are very glad to be here.<\/p>\n

-A safe trip!<\/p>\n

-Seeing old friends<\/p>\n

-The chance to learn the language here and looking forward to being\u00a0a part of\u00a0planting a tribal church in the less-distant future<\/p>\n

-Learning the language and getting used a things and into a routine<\/p>\n

-For the kids to settle in too.<\/p>\n
