Alisha has been preparing for a number of weeks for a craft sale that she is contributing to, which takes place today. There is going to be a parade also, so the kids are mentally prepping for that. I have some homework that needs cracking, a lesson to prepare for the Lighthouse on Thursday and we have some friends visiting this afternoon whom we knew from Bible school. What I mean is, we’re busy.

But that’s not bad. Alisha and a group of ladies here have been excitedly crafting various goods for this for quite a while. She is hoping that her stuff will sell. This week for an assignment, we made up our own languages. Only a small part of a language, really, but we made up words, prefixes and suffixes and decided what order to put words in. Fun stuff like that. Alisha thought it was ridiculous that people would like that.

This week at the Lighthouse we’ll be teaching on Jesus’ baptism and temptation. It’s been exciting to see these couple guys in our group begin to understand foundational truths, and now to realize that Jesus is the promised Deliverer.

Praise:

-God works in people’s lives at the Lighthouse, in Dalkena and Starbuck and the rest of the world.

-The chance to see old friends.

Prayer:

-We need to start raising support when we come home for the summer.

-To finish our last month here well.

Thanks!

~The Missouri McIlroys

Well, this update might be a little more brief than normal.
