Green Letters

10 September, 2007 by

Have you ever stopped and realized that God has answered prayer and brought something to pass that you had been asking him for?

Some months ago, Lisa and I started praying about hosting a Bible Study in our home for some of the Bible School students here at NTBI in Jackson.  Last night, we were thanking God after our first Green Letters group.

Green Letters is a book made up of five short books written by Miles Stanford to promote spiritual growth. Lisa and I are meeting together with eight of our Bible School students to study these principles.

We also see it as an opportunity to develop relationships with these students so as to be mutually encouraged in our faith. This was Paul’s desire when he longed to go to Rome and visit the believers there.

Pray for us as we lead this group that God would give us spiritual insight and revelation to understand the material.

Pray that God will enable us to develop questions that will promote helpful discussion so as to make the content become real to each of the students.

Pray that we will keep in mind that the study isn’t the end in itself but a means to the end of spiritual growth and glorifying God in our lives.
