{"id":798,"date":"2012-03-20T13:45:42","date_gmt":"2012-03-20T13:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/james-hatton\/?p=798"},"modified":"2012-06-08T13:49:12","modified_gmt":"2012-06-08T13:49:12","slug":"catch-up-with-the-hattons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lisa-hatton\/2012\/03\/20\/catch-up-with-the-hattons\/","title":{"rendered":"Catch up with the Hattons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were getting used to the new normal of chemo when things took a turn for the worse a few weeks ago. \u00a0I was admitted to hospital with what they discovered was an infection. \u00a0The infection needed to be treated before I could continue my chemo, so I was discharged from hospital.\u00a0 Lisa was taught how to set up an IV so I could continue IV treatment at home.\u00a0 Pray for grace to deal with the fatigue and that the antibiotic will deal with the infection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lisa-hatton\/files\/2012\/03\/bryan-and-martha-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-799\" title=\"bryan and martha 2\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lisa-hatton\/files\/2012\/03\/bryan-and-martha-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lisa-hatton\/files\/2012\/03\/bryan-and-martha-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lisa-hatton\/files\/2012\/03\/bryan-and-martha-2-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lisa-hatton\/files\/2012\/03\/bryan-and-martha-2.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>April 9, saw our sweet daughter, Martha, get engaged to Bryan Conard. \u00a0Bryan is from South Carolina, has finished his training at NTBI Jackson and for the past year has been working on the intern program at the school. \u00a0We are trusting that he and Martha will have a long and happy life together. \u00a0They plan on a June 15 wedding so I am sure that they would appreciate your prayers as they make plans and that they would begin to see those plans fall into place.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin and Missy have opportunity to spend time with their whole team this month. \u00a0They continue to look to the Lord for wisdom as to which tribal group in which to work.\u00a0 They have many issues that need to be discussed regarding strategy for the move into the tribe.\u00a0 Pray for them as it will be a valuable month for them.\u00a0 Also, pray for God\u2019s provision to gather needed building materials.<\/p>\n<p>Meantime, the missionaries among the Biem have just finished their first literacy class. \u00a0The goal is to have as many readers as possible by the time they start teaching. \u00a0That way the people will be able to follow the notes. \u00a0A major step in that is to have scriptures translated and checked. \u00a0A part of the checking process is to provide a \u2018back to English\u2019 translation which is a literal, word for word translation from Biem to English. \u00a0Pray for the team as they prepare for teaching.\u00a0 This is Gen 1 in Biem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">So so far before, in the time that God made the land and sky, He was there and he spoke and land and sky they just became. He didn\u2019t make them with anything. With just words he made them.<\/p>\n<p>In the North Waghi, two more have expressed their faith in Christ, praise the Lord, the Holy Spirit is still at work using his Word to bring conviction.<\/p>\n<p>Love,<\/p>\n<p>James and Lisa<\/p>\n<p><em>2 Corinthians 4:16\u201318&#8230;Therefore we do not lose heart.
