{"id":1,"date":"2016-08-11T21:00:03","date_gmt":"2016-08-12T02:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/vanilla-rose\/?p=1"},"modified":"2016-09-08T17:57:39","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T22:57:39","slug":"hello-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lizzie-vanzant\/2016\/08\/11\/hello-world\/","title":{"rendered":"God School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My eight year old niece, whom m<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-152 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lizzie-vanzant\/files\/2012\/01\/child-studying.jpg\" alt=\"child studying\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/>y family frequently refers to as \u201cLittle Lizzie\u201d, is having a difficult time understanding why I have to move so far away from her. Last week I was trying to explain to her the necessity of missions and why I am leaving. Thinking that I am preparing to return to school, she asked, \u201cBut when are you going to be done with God school?\u201d As I chuckled the Lord began working in my own heart. God school\u2026as a Christian, shouldn\u2019t that be considered life? Each and every day, as we believers walk through life, God is teaching us something, or at least He is trying to. There are times that I find myself treating my relationship with the Lord much the same way that I have treated school. I tune in to the fun, interesting, and easy stuff. But when it comes to the challenging, out of my comfort zone, I\u2019ve heard this before stuff, I so often tune out. As the years have passed, I have become increasingly aware that it is during these times of so desperately wanting to tune out, that the Lord is trying to teach me. It is during these times that the Lord is usually trying to teach me some BIG lessons. So why is it that I still today, after years of being a believer, try to tune out? Has He not proven Himself worthy of my time, attention, or even the temporary pain that may ensue from a call to obedience to Him? No, He is worthy!
