>On this side of the world things are going fine and very slow. This time of the year people are relaxing and going on holiday. We will also be visiting some family and friends between Christmas and New year and as soon as we return I will update my blogg to give you a glimpse of my family an friends and of Christmas in SA. For us Christians Christmas is about Christ coming to earth to work out our salvatiuon for us, but it is also about food, barbeques and very good weather allowing swimming and fun in the sun with family and friends. Here is a foretaste of what will be awaiting is during the next few days….
Not long ago we enjoyed Marlous’ second birthday. It has been a great privilege for us to have her as part of our family. These two years has been a great joy for us and we continually pray that God will also work in her life. Marlou, in her terrible 2’s is not too bad. She speaks a lot now and makes use of hand movements a lot. Actually she cannot say anything without using her hands. If she had no hands she would not be able to talk. Though she’s 2 she’s like an adult to me, she knows what she wants and wants to be included in every conversation and game, to her sisters biggest frustration! Here is some photos of her and her friends.
I have recently attended a graduation evening in Cape Town during which I was awarded my BTH degree in Theology. This was a great experience even though I studied for about 8 years. This all took place in the evenings and over weekends and I must say it is a relieve to be finish. If it is the Lords will I will be enrolling for my honours degree next year. This will also be done part time while I am in Papua New Guinea. Here is some photos.
We are very exited as we approach the end of this year and the beginning of 2007. Hopefully we will be leaving for PNG mid 2007.
Continue to pray with us for supporters and a well developed partnership network.
Also pray with us for those that we are planning to reach. We pray that God will now already start preparing them for our arrival and for the message we want to bring them.
Thank God with us for the doors he has opened for us until now. We have many committed supporters
Finally pray with us for future team members.
Have a wonderful Christmas season and may we all be reminded of what Christ has done for us and is still doing for us today!
