>Hi Friends, Please feel free to check out the links in order to get more info on our future plans as missionaries to Papua New Guinea. Here is some general news from me and my family here in South Africa.
We are very exited as we enter 2007, for God willing there will be great changes in our lives this year. We will be moving to Papua New Guinea later this year! This is something that has been waiting to take place many years. As a young boy God started to work in my heart concerning the lost and especially those without a chance of salvation. After being saved I was lead by Him to get involved with missions and this is 12 years ago. We are therefore much exited to enter the field and believe that through God’s grace we have been prepared over many years to start this new journey.
We are very pleased with the way God has provided for us thus far during home assignment and He has provided great supporters for us here in SA. There are those in Phalaborwa that have accepted us as part of their families and congregation and has committed themselves to stand behind us! Then there are our friends in Potchefstroom that are with us and behind us. Closer to home we have Secunda congregation that decided to support us and even today I still stand in wonder to see how they have accepted us as part of their family all in faith! My own congregation, Goedehoop Dutch Reform, have been faithful over the years. Our home base here on Adullam have been committed to missions many years and they are with us exited to get us in the field. Then there are so many friends and family. Those in Cape town, Citrusdall, Plettenbergbaai, Calvinia, Bothaville, Smithfield, Vereeniging, Walkerville, America, Ireland, England, Australia. Wow God has provided more than we would ever be able to think or dream!! I never know how I will be able to thank them! Only God can honour them for there support. Hopefully those in Papua New Guinea can soon themselves say thank you!!
We have recently spend some time in Pahlaborwa and had a wonderful time! Here are some photos for you to enjoy!
Here we have the kids singing some Christmas carrrol’s. Check out Madeleen with her angel suit.
Marlou seems very happy with her gift.
Naomi is also very much impressed with little kitchen set.
We were very lucky to be able to stay at a lovely private camp with family and friends between Christmas and New Year. Here we have some photos of our stay there. This is a photo of the pool area during the evening. We had nice warm weather, even getting up to 40 degrees celcius. We thus made use of the oppertunity to spend lots of time swimming.
Naomi is looking good with her goggles. She is like a fish in the water and can now swim without any help.
Here is Madeleen on grand dad’s back. She also enjoy’s the water very much!
Marlou often fell asleep in her tube. Here she is ready to take a nap. And don’t think she wants to get out!
And here is the lovely Laureti’s just as bubbling and in love as 9 years ago.
We enjoyd many game drives and here we are with Minnaar giving us a nice smile.
Here is my brother in law showing us that he is ready even for the lions and rhino’s
Last but not least is all of us barbequing. Here I am with Minaar on my left and my father in law on my right and my borther in law next to him.
And so we had a wonderfull time over Christmas and New Year. We are all now back at work and ready for the New Year. All of us are now jogging and gyming all in order to get our bodies back in shape.
Well God bless and hope to hear from all of you soon.
