Quick update on the work – Amongst the Mengen believers things are going on well.
Progress in translation
I am especially thrilled about how things are progressing with our translation. Recently we had some helpers hiked out of our village to our support centre to meet up with our co werker, Rebecca Preheim. They then spend a few weeks together working on the needed recordings for the 4 books that she is working on. At the moment, she has Galatians, Philippians and Colossians completely finished and ready to be recorded. She also have most of 2 Corinthians done. Its just amazing to see how God allows the translation to move on!

Furthermore the Mengen church is going well. They continue to meet faithfully in all three locations, even forming itinerate teams to meet the needs of the north coast church in the absence of one of the teachers. Praise the Lord, he is enabling the north coast church plant team to continue in spite of burn out with discipling the new believers as well as their first literacy program. These guys have people clamouring for truth around the clock and they so need wisdom in how to pace themselves –please continue to pray for Bruce and Kamilus as well as their wives and kids. Please pray for Vincient and Manuela who are waiting for their house to be finished in the north to allow them to move there to help carry the teaching load.

Furthermore one of the recent itinerate teams to the north coast church plant were met by a delegation from another hamlet some 1.5 hour drive to the west
demanding that the teaching come to them as well. These are relatives and friends of the new believers at the north coast church plant that have been overwhelmed by the change in those that have heard the truth and now they long to hear as well –so much so that they are setting up their own teaching classroom and getting rid of their religious relics that they’ve put their faith in in the past. Please pray for God to raise up a team that can move into this hamlet to see a
mature church established here as well. The believers are overwhelmed with the needs in this area as there is no evangelical witness for thousands of people.
