Hi friends Thanks for being part of the journey God has put us on. Your prayers and support are making a huge impact on eternity! Please read this newsletter, sharing how a shift is taking place in our ministry, but more so in the church in Papua New Guinea. A QUICK HISTORY Between 2007 and […]
Hi Friends We have been back in PNG for about 3 months now, and it’s about time to give a quick update about what’s been happening. Marie will be working on some personal news, and I will share a bit of a ministry update with you all. Reunited with coworkers –Since we have been back, […]
And just like that, 365 sleeps in South Africa is over…well almost… 5 days to go before we GO! this was our third furlough since we left for PNG in 2007 and it was by far our best one yet!!! I want to mention 4 things that stood out for us as we reflect over […]
Here we are again, 50 days before we leave for our HOME in Papua New Guinea! Are we super busy, excited and a little frazzled? Yes, Yes, Yes! We have throughout the year tried to pace ourselves and make the best of each opportunity, tried to spread out our appointments so that no bottle neck happens […]
HI FRIENDS Thanks so much for the way you guys have been praying for Madeleen and thanks to those who have helped financially supporting Madeleen up to now. I thought it would be good to write a quick report for you guys about how she is doing. For those who do not know Madeleen, let […]
In these days I got the sad news that another Mengen believer has passed away. He and his family are very precious to me. When we moved into the area in 2009, this family was the first to open their hearts and home to me and Marie. It’s very very hard for me, as they have become my family! I would want to be there with them. I would want to spend a few days with them, standing at their backs! But this is God’s plan for me for now.

One of the greatest struggles all of us has is, to be honest. All of us are wanting to hide some aspects of our lives and present ourselves the best we can. This is obviously the same for us as missionaries and maybe even worse at times. We have many people looking at us, and […]
It is now 6 months since we arrived here in South Africa. And even though we long for our home back in Papua New Guinea, we can thankfully summarize by saying, “The Laureti’s are doing very well”. Those first few weeks here felt like a whirlwind… landing in JHB, some medical appointments, seeing friends and […]
Many moons ago, a nervous me, landed in our bush village between the Mengen valleys and mountains. It was only for a short visit, to meet our future co-workers and meet the Mengen friends amongst whom we would live for the next roughly 20 years of our lives. During this time I met Brus and […]
