(picture by Dale Stroud)\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportPhoto--><\/p>\n<p>She became known as &#8216;ara&#8217; when her tribal mother left her and her dad, one of the great\u00a0believers among this remote tribe\u00a0on Palawan Island\u00a0died of cancer.<\/p>\n<p>While they built the casket , Ara was assigned to keep the flies off her Dad&#8217;s body. <em>(Later, I will write you more of her story.)<\/em> She lives with an old grandmother but before his death, her father asked missionaries, Danny and Philippa Brooks\u00a0to care for her. They make sure she has <!--more-->enough food, goes to school, and give her presents for Christmas and her birthday.<\/p>\n<p>She followed Dale and I everywhere we went in the village,\u00a0watching us take\u00a0snapshot after snapshot. She has a beautiful smile and a delightful spirit.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"boldText-red\">Her name may mean <em>nothing<\/em> in\u00a0the Tagbanwa\u00a0language, but she is <em>someone<\/em> to God. <\/span> Someone who\u00a0God loves and for whom He sent his Son to die,\u00a0\u00a0that believing in Him,\u00a0she might have abundant life.<\/p>\n<p>The dedicated missionaries of New Tribes Mission live\u00a0in Ara&#8217;s villiage to plant a functioning tribal church among her people and translate the Scriptures into Ara&#8217;s language. Please pray for them and the work among the Tagbanwan people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ARA.
