Working with the NTM Information Technology team for nearly 4 years now has been an amazing journey. It is exciting to work with a team of professionals that value the importance of technology and how it supports the efforts of reaching people groups with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Technology has become an integral part of any effort to support missions today in our world. The IT team supports computers, networks, devices, protocols, software, servers, and even people. It is exciting to be a part of the work God is doing every moment all over the world as we manage project timelines and milestones, keep up with the progression of technology, and provide support for members across the globe. Regardless of the IT role or function, I am reassured by the Holy Spirit continually working to draw people to Himself.
“And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment”
John 16:8 (ESV)
I was watching a recent video about the Hewa people and the work going on in that group. The missionary working in that tribe spoke about how the Holy Spirit is the one doing the work to bring the Gospel to people and changing lives. He brought up a good point, that we all are working in the support role to further the Gospel but it is God doing the work. It is not only the Tribal Church Planter, the Translator, the Supply Buyer, the Trainers, the Office Admins, or the IT Administrator. We are all in roles that support the work of the Holy Spirit, to bring the good news of the Gospel to all nations and disciple those who have heard. See the Hewa video:
