February 2015 [cid:image009.jpg@01D05078.99B94D60] In Colombia, as you may know, the equivalent of our Valentine ’s Day isn’t until September but we take advantage of our American special days and give flowers that are so inexpensive compared to the States. Thought I’d share with you what Mark gave me this week. Mark has been teaching translation to our national missionary training students two hours away recently and the students appreciated it. . [cid:image010.jpg@01D05078.99B94D60]From March 15th on for a month, our two translation helpers, Luis and Arsecio, will be living with us to continue to make progress with Mark on the revision of the Guahibo New Testament. Then we hope to have them around July for a month and in November for a month so would appreciate your prayers for much wisdom and progress. (picture: Arcesio, Luis and Mark happy to finish up Galatians.) It has shocked our field to find out a few weeks ago that our single Colombian gal, Consuelo Jimenez, [cid:image011.jpg@01D05078.99B94D60]found out she has spine and hip bone cancer and aggressive cancer on one breast. She worked with us with the Guahibos for years until the last few years she had been teaching at our national missionary Institute. Her time on earth is limited but she wants to serve the Lord to the end. Pray for her. (picture-Consuelo serving coffee to the Indians at discipleship time.)
