We praise the Lord that God is building His church among this remote group of people. Recently, one man gave the following testimony as the believers gathered together and shared testimonies:
“Now I know what church is! I thought church was a big white building where everybody who was really good, goes in and does all the right things in order to go to heaven. I tried that many years ago. I did all the songs right, I prayed the right words, and I attended all the meetings. But then I messed up and I thought I couldn’t be a part anymore.
Now I know what church is! It’s people just like you and me. We are all the same. We are sinners, saved only by grace. Even though I still sin, I can come to these meetings to hear the Truth and grow. As God’s Word goes into my heart, His Spirit changes my old thoughts. That is what church meetings are for. I am so glad my fellow Manjui brothers have showed me something different than what I thought. Now I know what church is!” (translated by Jeff Hunt)
We praise the Lord for many faithful missionaries over the years who have served to see these people reached with the Gospel. We appreciate Gordie and Nancy Hunt who were the main translators and who have worked over 30 years to see this completed. Pray for Jeff and Stacy Hunt who continue to serve the Manjui church and are praying for Manjui co-workers to teach the truth in another village.
Thanks for your prayers and your part is seeing tribal people reached with the Gospel!
