We recently received over 8 inches of rain (200 mm) in about 8 hours. Our MK School property was quickly flooded. We have never had this kind of rain since we have been here in Paraguay. Our normal dry and dusty turned into wet and soggy!
Thankfully, the town started up a pump to redirect the water from our property and three other houses that were flooded as well. Within a week the water had receded enough so that we were able to start cleanup and get things back to normal.
In spite of the flooding, it is still our desire to assist the 22 NTM families serving here in Paraguay with their MK care and education needs. One aspect of our ministry is to provide homeschool assistance for the MK’s whose families are involved in church planting among remote tribal groups in Paraguay. One strategy to serve our families is to provide Education Camps twice a year which include many hands-on, interactive educational activities adding breadth and depth to the MK schooling experience. If you would be interested in helping teach during one of these Educations Camps, please let us know.
