Wyck Tetelestai Long was born on September 28 at 10:28pm. He was 8 lbs., 15 oz., 22 inches long.
We are thankful for a good delivery and a healthy baby boy! Thanks for all your prayers. We are all doing well. Ty loves his baby brother and always wants to give him hugs and kisses, not to mention stickers and toys, but he’s not sure why he never plays with them :). It has been a little crazy adjusting to two kids, but after enjoying some time just being together, we are back to work and figuring out what life looks like as a family of four!

Are you wondering about the meaning of his name? Wyck (pronounced like Nick) is just a name we liked the sound of. Tetelestai is the Greek word for “It is finished.” It is what Jesus said as he died for our sins on the cross. We gave him the name Tetelestai because it is basically the gospel in one word. It is finished- Jesus completely paid for our sins on the cross. There is nothing left for us to do, no good work we still need to finish to earn our salvation. All we need to do is believe on Him. It is wonderful to know we can be sure of our salvation. Colossians 2:14 says, “having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” Our prayer for Wyck is that He would come to know Jesus and live in the freedom of the gospel each day.

We have a busy next couple of weeks traveling and visiting churches. Please pray that God would use us to help people to get excited about God’s heart for reaching the nations, and also pray that God would lay on people’s hearts a desire to get involved in missions, whether by going or sending. Praise God for the opportunity to speak at 3 or 4 different churches on this trip! Please also pray that our boys would do well traveling in the car and being away from home for so long.
We also got the opportunity to have a table at a church’s mission conference here in Minnesota, but it is while we will be gone. We are thankful for our supporters who have stepped up to man the table! It is so good to know that we are all in this together.
Thank you for helping to make Christ’s name known through your prayers, your finances, and your service.

Till all know,
Matt, Karissa, Ty, and Wyck Long
Blog: ntm.org/Matt_Long
K.
