{"id":295,"date":"2017-08-01T00:19:05","date_gmt":"2017-08-01T05:19:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/matt-long\/?p=295"},"modified":"2017-08-01T00:19:05","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T05:19:05","slug":"rome-and-robots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/matt-long\/2017\/08\/01\/rome-and-robots\/","title":{"rendered":"Rome and Robots"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>&#8220;Rome wasn&#8217;t built in a day.&#8221; \u00a0It&#8217;s an old adage reminding us that great things take time. \u00a0I would also add that Rome wasn&#8217;t built alone. \u00a0Great things take a team.<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/31aa8d2d31b3e18299f120386\/images\/649b9b0e-1498-4680-b04f-b7b686f0da8c.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-file-id=\"2723121\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', 'marker felt-thin', arial, sans-serif;\">Planting a mature, indigenous church among an unreached people group is our goal, and it is one that takes time, and takes a team.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', 'marker felt-thin', arial, sans-serif;\">We are now about 6 months into our time in PNG. \u00a0We are continuing to work on\u00a0learning the national language. \u00a0We have reached level 6 out of 9 levels we need to\u00a0achieve. \u00a0It is starting to get tiring\u00a0learning language. \u00a0Please pray for perseverance for us, as well as for a great language helper for Matt.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', 'marker felt-thin', arial, sans-serif;\">We don&#8217;t have a team yet. \u00a0We are starting to talk with different people about the possibility of teaming up, but please pray for God&#8217;s wisdom in this. \u00a0We know that our team will greatly affect the next 20 years of our lives, as well as our ministry and future church. \u00a0So, we don&#8217;t want to enter into anything hastily, but wait on God to bring the perfect team together.<\/span><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/31aa8d2d31b3e18299f120386\/_compresseds\/4bf6bc7c-9cb4-4b2a-869b-38cdb01b68d9.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" data-file-id=\"2723129\" \/>\u00a0(Where we are staying is just 1 1\/2 hours from where we had our bush orientation. \u00a0So, we got to go and visit Tracie, our host missionary, for her birthday. \u00a0It made us miss being there!)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', 'marker felt-thin', arial, sans-serif;\">So, as we are learning language and waiting for teammates, Matt also has taken on a role to support the other missionaries in our region. \u00a0He is doing all of the airport drop offs and pick ups, which has turned out to be quite a job!
