Our Last-Minute Trip Home\u00a0

Wow, what a wonderful, whirlwind of a month it has been.\u00a0 For those of you who may not know, we are just finishing up spending 6 weeks in the U.S.\u00a0 The reasons for this were many, but the main one is that we had originally planned to take a furlough this summer, but if our team ends up coming together this spring, that will not be a good time to leave.\u00a0 So, we decided it would be better to come back for a short trip now, so that we are ready to jump in to the next phase of our ministry when we get back.\u00a0We had some good, much- needed time with family.\u00a0 We also were able to get a lot of not-so-fun but very necessary things done- ordering homeschool curriculum, getting our drivers licenses renewed,\u00a0 seeing Karissa\u2019s neurologist, getting Karissa\u2019s wisdom teeth out, etc.\u00a0 We didn\u2019t really get to connect with many friends or churches, so if we missed you, we are sorry.\u00a0 It really was just a trip to see family and get necessary things taken care of to enable us to stay in PNG longer.\u00a0 Rest assured that when we come back for a full furlough, we will let you know and hopefully see many more of you.\u00a0It was very cool to see God\u2019s hand in all of this.\u00a0 Although we had our own reasons for coming back, we saw that it was perfect timing to be an encouragement to others here at home for various reasons.\u00a0 We also saw how we needed this time more than we even realized.\u00a0So, please pray for us now as we head back.\u00a0 It is definitely hard to say goodbye, but we are looking forward to what God has in store for us in the upcoming months.\u00a0 Please pray for our transition, and then for our upcoming team talks.\u00a0 Pray for God\u2019s guidance and peace in it all.\u00a0
