SEPTEMBER 19, 2026

\u201cWe will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders.\u201d -Ps.78:4

You get to hear from me every month, so this month, I thought I\u2019d let Wyck and Ty write to you! Here\u2019s what they had to say.


Wyck (age 10):
\u201cLately I\u2019ve been doing school. I like school and I also don\u2019t like it. There have been some interesting classes because we are studying ancient Rome. My favorite class is art. I\u2019ve also been playing video games with my dad and brother.

I like PNG. I like the freedom of just being able to run around campus and not have to schedule playdates. My favorite foods to eat here are Twisties (which are like Cheetos), Gold Nuggets (which are like cheese balls), and Em Nau Crackers (which are like Chicken in a Biscuit crackers). I don\u2019t like that in PNG there aren\u2019t very many good restaurants and there\u2019s no American snacks. I also don\u2019t like how hot it is.

I\u2019m glad we are in PNG because most of my friends are here. I also have a bike here, and there\u2019s lots of areas to bike, including big hills. Please pray that my mom\u2019s ankle will heal.\u201d


Ty (age 13):
\u201cLately I have been hanging out with friends, and playing a lot of rugby. I enjoy the community of school and doing P.E., but I don\u2019t enjoy the homework.

I like PNG because I like the community here and I like the tropical weather. I don\u2019t like that the food here isn\u2019t as good and products you can buy aren\u2019t as high quality.

I\u2019m glad that we are in PNG because I think it\u2019s good what we are doing here of witnessing to people and helping with that, and I enjoy life here.

Please pray that my mom\u2019s ankle gets better and that school will be easy. Thanks for supporting us and praying for us.\u201d

The Lembena people at a gathering
WHAT ARE WE SUPPORTING? THIS MONTH\u2019S TRIBAL FOCUS: Pray for the Lembena Work

Missionary Tami Hughes writes, \u201cLord willing, we will be able to start teaching the Lembena people through the Bible in November. We are preparing 60 lessons to teach throughout the Bible. Our goal is to show them that God created man to be in a relationship with him. Man messed things up through disobedience and wanting to be like God. People all through the Bible have sought to be accepted in their own ways. But there is only one way to be accepted by God, and it is through faith not works. Then we will briefly teach through the birth of the church and what God\u2019s purpose is for believers. We will wrap up our 60 lessons with man physically re-united with God. All our language study, culture study, relationship building, translation, and lesson writing has been in preparation for this teaching. We are praying God will use it to build His church here in Lembena.\u201d Pray for the Lembena people, who will soon hear the Gospel for the first time in their language! Pray that God would create excitement in the hearts of people to hear His Word. Pray that the Lembena people will understand and receive God\u2019s great gift of salvation.

Praise God:
-Thanks for your prayers- God answered many of last month\u2019s prayer requests shortly after we sent them out and you all began praying for them!
-The difficult dynamic with Karissa\u2019s teaching role has been better
-God brought wisdom and resolution in regard to the difficult situation related to our member care role
-God is opening doors for us to be able to care for people, including that we get to go to parts of two upcoming conferences for our bush missionaries

-For a difficult situation Matt is dealing with regarding his role on the Child Safety Team
-For a stressful situation on one of our centers and the missionaries impacted by it
-For Karissa as she badly sprained her ankle playing rugby
-That we can be an encouragement to missionaries at the upcoming conferences
