“There are two reservoirs, one on the bottom and one on top,” he said. We were happy, thankful that we wouldn’t have too much of a problem with water in our new apartment. The area that we were moving to was a bit notorious for water issues.
…
“There’s a problem with the reservoir, but we’re working to fix it,” he said, when we asked why the water would be out for so much of the day. They did fix it, and before that, I think Jesus kept me from getting too carried away in my complaints by reminding me (often) that we had it pretty good, even if the water was out for a while.
Apparently someone from our new church heard about our water situation. It had been better lately. Even so, it moved our hearts deeply when we saw the 10 big jugs of water that someone bought and gave to the pastor to pass on to us. We don’t know who it was, but were extremely touched and humbled by their generosity to a family they have never met.
