We trust you had a wonderful Easter. It was our pleasure to celebrate the Resurrection in Swahili.
We just wanted to give a quick update. Austin made it to the top of Kilimanjaro! We are very proud of all the hard work and perseverance he showed in facing this major challenge. Thank you for praying for him and for those who helped sponsor his trip.
The girls had a nice relaxing Easter break and weren’t too excited to head back to school this morning. Pray for a good final term.
Jessica and I plan on taking a Swahili grammar class this week to complement the largely comprehension-based language learning we have been doing so far. We are so grateful for the Growing Participator Approach developed by Greg and Angela Thomson.
Then next week Michael will be going to Mozambique for some evaluations and leadership meetings. Pray that it will be a good trip and that he will be able to also encourage the one couple that is left in our Mozambique office. Please be praying for another family to join them in the important work they do supporting seven families who are church planting out in the villages. They really need help!
Speaking of the villages, we have great news. After hearing foundational Bible teaching, a new church was born among the Yao people. Pray as these believers grow in their difficult context. It was our privilege to serve this team as they were growing in their ability to participate in the Yao people’s lives.
