Hold on a minute. What in the world is a Missionary Technology Specialist???<\/strong><br \/>\nWell, I am. Yep Misty Graveley is a MTS.<br \/>\n<strong>Really! So I take it your internship went well! So what is it that you do??<\/strong><br \/>\nYes! My internship was amazing! I learned so much! What I will be doing is setting up alternative power sources for other missionaries on the field. I will be there to help them set-up things that they will need to live in a tribal village. As well as help the missionaries who live in the city supporting the tribal missionaries. I will do things like fix wiring, generators, frig\/freezers, solar panels, and a bunch of other things like that.<br \/>\n<strong>Oh, so you do not work with computers?<\/strong><br \/>\nNot really. I do know a little about them, but when I say technology I do not mean computers.<br \/>\n<strong>Okay. When are you looking at doing all of this?<\/strong><br \/>\n I am hopefully heading to Brazil in the fall of 2011 to start my National Language and Culture training.<br \/>\n<strong>Wow!! That is not very long, what do you have left to do before you go?<\/strong><br \/>\nRight now I am raising my support to head over. I would like to be at 60% before I go. You see NTM is a faith based mission. All of their missionaries have to raise their own support.<br \/>\n<strong>That is interesting, how do you raise support?<\/strong><br \/>\nTalking to people like you is how I start. I am also looking for churches that would be interested in letting me speak at their church and share about my mission. If not to a whole church I would also like to share with a small group of people. Like: a Bible study, Youth group, or Ladies group. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whoa!!!
