Thank you for your prayers and notes of encouragement. It is always great to be remembered. Please continue to pray for the young people hearing God’s Word among the Tigak.
We have had a very busy month. Linn attended School committee and MK Care and Education meetings and helped with our regional school testing. Ned did a translation check for two other tribes. It is such a blessing to be part of ministries outside of just our language group but it does stretch us. We also attended our annual regional conference which is always a time of encouragement and reconnecting with other missionaries that we only hear on the radio skeds and through email. We only have a short time once a year to actually see each other face to face.
We returned from conference to a house full of company for a Mature Church Evaluation (MCE). It was a blessing to have some national church leaders and other missionary leaders come and evaluate the ministry and church here among the Tigak. They gave us some great advice and encouragement and direction for the years ahead. This was especially valuable since the Martinez family has also just arrived and is getting settled into life here among the Tigak. We will be having lots of team meetings and working through all that was suggested and figure out how to implement some new ideas in order to see the Tigak church come to maturity. We would appreciate your prayers in all the decisions that are being made. Ned is constantly being pulled between translation, discipleship, teaching and consultant work. Only the Lord knows where the hours of our days will be most profitable so it takes constantly walking with the Lord and hearing His still, small voice.
We were able to repair the corner post and our house is still standing. We will need to do more work on other posts in the near future but it will take some more help to get that accomplished.
