Thank you for praying. I feel like we are finally at the end of being sick. Hopefully we can continue to avoid the flu!
We are currently looking for airline tickets to get back to PNG in June. We would appreciate your prayers for finding good prices and connections on flights ASAP. Christina is excited to be able to spend her last summer before high school graduation with her Tigak friends in the tribe.
Noe had a great visit back on the island. There were encouraging reports and some discouraging. Our house had been entered multiple times with electronic items, clothes, a mattress, and solar panels being taken. The sad thing is our electronics are all 110 V so once they get plugged into the PNG 240 V power they would be toast. The outreach on a nearby island had been stopped because of all the turmoil caused by the break-ins and thefts. Some things were returned and the community has calmed down so the teaching should be up and going again this week. Remember Paska, Robin and the other teachers as they continue to teach those who have not heard the Gospel. One of the attendees has gone back to his home area and shared what he is learning and their village is now requesting teachers to come teach them the truth. The Tigak become excited when the Bible stories are told in order and in context in their heart language and they clearly understand how it all points to Jesus! Pray that when we return to the island in June we could help the believers work out a plan to reach more of the Tigak with the Gospel. It is exciting to see more people desire to hear the Word.
