Thank you for praying. Ned’s foot is doing much better but he is still on antibiotics and can’t seem to get completely over the infection. We really enjoyed having Christina and Savannah home for their fall school break. Everyone is now back at school.
The Lord has been faithful in providing translation helpers the past few months. Please pray that Ned would be able to find one more faithful, competent comprehension checker this week. Robin and Ned were able to record all of Matthew and Luke and get a 1st draft complete. Ned and Wilem are almost through all of Matthew and Luke for a 1st comprehension check. Aimee and Darina have completed the 2nd comprehension check on Matthew and started on Luke. We want every verse of Scripture to have three comprehension checks with Tigak speakers to make sure everything is clear and nothing is missed. There are more steps to complete after the comprehension checking so we are really under a time crunch for completing everything. Ned has translation checks with two different consultants scheduled for March so everything needs to be given to the translation consultants for them to begin checking by the end of January.
Please be praying for the Tigak church as they travel to the annual New Ireland Province Church conference on Monday, November 5th. Paska will be teaching on Romans 6 and would appreciate your prayers on his behalf. They still have some money to raise and provisions to gather before traveling to another language group to meet together with all the churches in this area. It is a huge time of encouragement and teaching for the believers.
