We made it out to our regional center today to begin the big translation check. Please be praying for Ned and everyone involved as they work nearly every day for the next six weeks – other than 4 conference days. Pray especially for good health and clear minds! Ned is back on antibiotics for a sore on his leg. We have really strong topical ointment which Ned used for two days while the sore continued to get worse before resorting to antibiotics. That will usually kick the problem for him.
Our Tigak helpers, Paska and Popot, are ready to start working tomorrow but are a bit overwhelmed thinking of checking 3000 verses. Plus, Ned will be checking over 4200 verses for three other language groups. Very exciting!
Continue to pray for Paska’s grandson, little Paska. We have not found a surgeon yet to take on his case. Our friend did set up a go fund me account if you desire to make a donation – gofundme.com/save-little-paska. He has been with his dad in the capital city since September and we just heard today he will be sent home to wait. This is good that he will be with family while waiting but time is critical so keep praying that a surgeon will take on his case ASAP. If he can’t find an Australian surgeon, our next option is now going to Manila, Philippines. If anyone knows someone in Manila that might have time or desire to take on helping this sweet boy – please contact us.
On March 2 we celebrated 20 years since we arrived in Papua New Guinea in 1999. It is hard to believe that many years have passed, but our 6th child, that wasn’t even a thought, wasn’t even born at that time and will graduate from high school in May! Our coworkers gave us a generous gift along with video messages from each of our kids to celebrate our 20 year anniversary! It was very special.
