We hope all is well with you and your family. We have had a lot of adjustments as we get several of our kids settled into new schools. Savannah has started a new teaching job at a collegiate high school in Fort Worth. She is now living with friends from church in a house. Christina has started cosmetology school in Houston this week. She is living with Ned’s mom. Garrett has started a 3 day a week – college model high school. We would appreciate your prayers as they adjust to new living situations!
There has finally been progress for Little Paska. We appreciate your prayers for him. He is going to be flying back to the capital city with his dad this weekend to have medical exams done to allow him to get a medical visa for Australia. We are praying this will happen quickly so he can continue on to Australia for an MRI in September. Please pray with us for this. Once we have the results from the MRI, the surgeon who has agreed to take him on will be able to know if there is still hope for surgery or if it is too late.
You may remember the “bad boy” who has come to know the Lord and made a huge turn around. We continue to see him growing in the Lord. He recently attended leaders’ meetings with our current Tigak leaders. Pray that he will continue to grow and be challenged as he studies God’s word. Especially pray for his consistency as he learns to walk in obedience to the Lord and faithfully leads his wife and baby. He realizes becoming a leader puts a lot of expectations on his shoulders and it scares him because he knows how easy it is to fall.
There has been quite a bit of tuberculosis in our village, including our elder’s son-in-law and daughter. It is so easy to spread and so hard for them to be consistent and to continue taking medication for the many months needed to eradicate it.
Thank you for standing with us as Ned continues to prepare the Tigak translation for printing.
