Translation progress!

God continues to work miracles to make Ned’s time in Papua New Guinea successful. We are so thankful he has been able to get to every location in PNG that he needed to. There has been a big surge in Covid in PNG since Ned arrived and the country has now been locked down. Ned’s last flight to get to the Tigak tribe happened the day before the lockdown began (after making a last minute change in flight dates).

Ned is encouraged with his time in Papua New Guinea! He has been able to do translation consulting for two different language groups. He has also pretty much completed the book of Joshua in Tigak. He is enjoying having time with the Tigak believers. Please pray for the Tigak church as they continue to grow stronger and will be on their own until our coworkers are hopefully able to return in July.

We would also appreciate your prayers the week of April 26 to 30 as Ned attempts to get Covid tests and flights to return home. The amount of Covid tests available is limited in PNG but are required for all travel. Everything involved in international travel and currently even for domestic travel in PNG is complicated. The hoops needed to jump through are changing daily. Just today we were told that he will need a third Covid test at the airport the day he boards his international flight. Please pray that each of Ned’s tests will be negative.
