Thank you for praying! Ned made it to Papua New Guinea. He is now in quarantine in a hotel in the capital city. Thankfully it seems like the official government quarantine is subsidized by someone. His room at the hotel with three meals a day costs less than a regular room without meals at the hotel! The meals are more typical PNG fare and not a “luxury hotel meal”. Haha! Lots of rice! We are glad his quarantine is only for 7 days.
At the end of his quarantine, Ned will travel to one of our mission centers and then catch a mission flight into a more remote area. He will be able to complete translation checking with two translators in the Kaul and Kaulong language groups. We are very happy the details were able to work out so these checks can still happen after Ned’s Covid delays.
We would appreciate your prayers that all would continue as planned. While Ned is at our mission center he will get a few days with our Tigak coworkers so we are thankful for that!
