Thank you for praying! Ned made it home and it felt like a miracle! He actually tested positive AGAIN for COVID before his first international trip coming home. At the last minute he was able to get a letter from our mission doctor confirming that Ned had recovered from COVID in the last 90 days, so he was allowed to board with 10 mins to spare. We were very thankful.
Days before Ned headed home from PNG, the Tigak Bible arrived in the closest town to our tribe. It was perfect timing. It was exciting to get to hold the first Tigak Bible! Our formal Bible dedication will happen in July. Pray that all the details will come together especially with all the COVID restrictions still in place for travel.
While in PNG, Ned’s computer was having issues but thankfully continued to work as Ned completed all of his translation projects. Since arriving home, his computer has never turned on again! He knows to back up his work daily, so nothing was lost except a computer. 😊
We just took the Haskins family to the airport so they are currently on their way back to Papua New Guinea. There have been many delays with documents and visas but they are finally on their way! It took two hours to have all the paperwork checked and get all the luggage checked in but it went amazingly well. It is a mixed blessing for them to be returning to the mission field, while we had to say goodbye to two sweet grandbabies! We know the Lord has a plan for them and we are looking forward to watching it unfold.
