{"id":2,"date":"2009-08-14T16:37:04","date_gmt":"2009-08-14T20:37:04","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2015-07-22T19:27:08","modified_gmt":"2015-07-22T23:27:08","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Our Family &#8211;<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-53\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/files\/2015\/02\/003small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/files\/2015\/02\/003small-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Ned and Linn and our 7 children: Kara Linn, Josiah, Bethany, Savannah, Zachary, Christina and Garrett Beall\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-53\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ned and Linn and our 7 children: Kara Linn, Josiah, Bethany, Savannah, Zachary, Christina and Garrett Beall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In our &#8220;former life&#8221; &#8211; we both were engineers.\u00a0 We met at Texas A&amp;M and began our life together working for defense contractors.\u00a0 As the years went by we realized more and more that we did not want to spend the rest of our lives doing a desk job.\u00a0 The Lord began to lead us into full time missions.\u00a0 When we first began looking for where the Lord wanted us to minister we were looking at short term missions but the Lord continued to close the doors on every avenue we pursued.\u00a0 Once we committed to quitting jobs and going full time the Lord turned on the green light and we went full speed ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Ned went into New Tribes Mission planning on doing support work as an airplane mechanic.\u00a0 As we went through the training Ned fell in love with linguistics and gradually felt the Lord leading him to a tribal ministry.\u00a0 It was a hard adjustment for Linn but we wouldn&#8217;t trade our life in the tribe for anything now.\u00a0 It has been so exciting to see the Lord&#8217;s faithful direction and provision as we walk with Him each day.<\/p>\n<p>Our kids are blessed with many experiences they could never have had living in the USA.\u00a0 It has also been a blessing to be able to spend more time together as a family without all the activities we are involved in when we are home in the USA.<\/p>\n<h2>Our Ministry<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_54\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-54\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/files\/2009\/08\/beall-ministry.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-54\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/files\/2009\/08\/beall-ministry-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"The Tigak believers with their new Scripture portions.\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/files\/2009\/08\/beall-ministry-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/files\/2009\/08\/beall-ministry-1023x768.jpg 1023w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-54\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Tigak believers with their new Scripture portions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ned is currently translating the Bible into the Tigak language.\u00a0 He has currently completed and checked 60% of the New Testament.  He is also working as a translation consultant and travels to other tribes to check the translation done by other missionaries.<\/p>\n<p>Ned will continue to teach and disciple the believers.\u00a0 We also have two Tigak men who are teaching the believers and doing evangelistic teaching.
