This will happen on Father’s Day, June 17th! Linn had what we thought was her very last eye checkup six months after surgery #3. It turns out that the doctor wants to KEEP seeing Linn every six months. We let him know we would be on the other side of the world in six months and he was fine with waiting until next summer for the eye check. SO, I am all set to return to PNG and my vision is almost back to normal – or at its “new normal”. My good eye is 20/20 and my bad eye is 20/30. I certainly cannot complain after being blind in one eye for months after the retinal detachment one year ago! Thank you SO much for your prayers!

I am including a copy of our latest prayer card. If you haven’t gotten one and would like a hard copy – send me a note with your snail mail address. Or if you would prefer to receive it as an email attachment with a copy of our prayer card and/or a picture of our entire family with our married kids – let me know that too!

We have one more birthday to celebrate next week when Christina turns 17. It is great to be able to get most of our family together for special occasions. We are also looking forward to enjoying some special times with the Tigak church and our coworkers in the tribe in a couple of short weeks!

Thank you for your prayers for our house in the tribe. We are headed back to many unknowns. We just received one “last” bit of bad news from the tribe. Garrett’s dog died. He was a German Shepherd less than 3 years old so we are quite shocked and very sad. We were really looking forward to Garrett having “Bruce Lee” as a companion this next year while he is our only child at home.

We are getting very close to boarding the plane to PNG.
