{"id":504,"date":"2019-02-06T02:06:35","date_gmt":"2019-02-06T06:06:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/?p=504"},"modified":"2019-02-06T02:06:35","modified_gmt":"2019-02-06T06:06:35","slug":"a-quick-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/ned-beall\/2019\/02\/06\/a-quick-update\/","title":{"rendered":"A Quick Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div class=\"WordSection1\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\">Thank you for your prayers!&nbsp; I, Linn, survived my trip!&nbsp; Going in I thought I wouldn\u2019t make it.&nbsp; After about 3 hours of hiking my pace slowed considerably and rest times increased dramatically.  <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-family:Wingdings\">J<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\">&nbsp; It took 5 \u00bd hours to make the 13 km trek. (After about 3 \u00bd hours on the boat)&nbsp; Coming out was way easier.&nbsp; More down than up coming out and the hike was done   early morning before the intense sun set in.&nbsp; Coming out only took 4 hours.&nbsp; Then another 3 hours by boat that was pretty crazy.&nbsp; Not huge swells but our amazing boat driver was twisting and turning to hit each wave just perfectly to give us a smooth ride.&nbsp;   We are sitting on pieces of board across the hull of the boat so you have to hang on.&nbsp; One time towards the end I wasn\u2019t hanging on or paying attention and almost fell out of the boat when a quick turn happened.&nbsp; SO thankful I was able to catch myself.&nbsp; I   feel like we succeeded in being an encouragement and I\u2019m thrilled I was able to make the trip.&nbsp; But, I think that is probably my last trip like that.&nbsp; My age is catching up with me as far as endurance goes.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\">We also had some good news for Little Paska.&nbsp; The Children\u2019s Foundation is sending all of his medical records on to various surgeons to see if any are willing to take on his medical care.&nbsp; This is an exciting   first step.&nbsp; Please continue to pray that a surgeon would agree to treat Paska.&nbsp; It would really be a blessing for him to be in Australia.&nbsp; Language would be much less of an issue for Hereman and we have more contacts for helping to find housing for them during   and between surgeries if needed.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\">We greatly appreciate your prayers!&nbsp; While you are praying, continue to lift up Ned as he races towards a very busy March and April and has lots of translation checking to prepare for.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--Posted by Email--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you for your prayers!&nbsp; I, Linn, survived my trip!&nbsp; Going in I thought I wouldn\u2019t make it.&nbsp; After about 3 hours of hiking my pace slowed considerably and rest times increased dramatically.
