But how does He qualify those that He calls? One way is through the faithful ministry of the body of Christ. Some teach, some train, some send, and some go! Even though there are urgent needs around the world, we shouldn’t go hastily or impatiently. As we go share the Gospel, we can honor God in cross-cultural ministry through preparation.

The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Proverbs 21:5

We are so excited for our ministry at the Missionary Training Center because we realize that training is a vital part of cross-cultural ministry. In order to share God’s Word effectively, it is important to learn how to enter other languages and cultures.

As imitators of Christ, we need to enter the language and culture of others as a demonstration of God’s gracious outreach to us. We all bear God’s image, and a view of God’s throne in heaven shows a multitude from “every nation, tribe, people, and language” (Rev. 7:9). As we consider the dignity of each person, we pray that we look like Christ in how we reach others.

Yembi believers leading youth group.
