Yesterday I (Lisa) ran my third Turkey Trot 5k! It was a blast!

This was also my last Turkey Trot for quite some time, since we’ll be in PNG next year, Lord-willing. I may have to find a new tradition on Thanksgiving morning… or run in place for 35-ish minutes? Hmmmm…. Noe suggested I do my own Turkey Trot in PNG next year… a Tribal Trot? Haha 🙂
Looking back at the races I’ve run, I’m thankful for the time and opportunity I’ve had to participate in life with family and friends. As we prepare to move overseas in just 8 months, we’ve been full of thankfulness to Him for the ‘race’ He has allowed us to run, the people He’s brought into our lives, and how He has proved Himself faithful and good through and despite circumstances.
“One More Race” also has significance as we look toward tribal church planting. We’re so thrilled to be involved in taking the Gospel to one more language group/’ethnos’/race/tribe that has never had a chance to hear. No Bible, no church, and no clear presentation of the gospel in their language. Thank you for running this race with us in whatever capacity He has put on your heart!
If you haven’t heard yet, we are hosting a dinner in Seattle on December 14th- “A Tribal Bound Christmas”. The purpose of the dinner, as laid out below, is toward our outgoing expenses, and to share more about tribal church planting. We’d love to have you join us! You, a group of friends, your small group… come and enjoy a Christmas dinner, be inspired, and find out how you can get involved with us! Doing this WITH you, the Body of Christ, is what brings JOY to our lives and to serving Him. (By the way, if you are unable to attend but would still like to get involved, you are welcome to contact us at the email below. Also, we will be hosting one more event in the spring- stay tuned!)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones! We thank God for each of you,
Noe, Lisa, Naya and Jocellyn
P.S.- Naya wants it known that she attended her first Husky football game today! She also “passed the test” on the bus (grandparents are proud)- when a Cougar fan asked if she was excited for the game, she immediately said “I’m a Husky fan!” 🙂 It was a great game!
