… make something yummy!
… OR squeeze the juice in your eyes and cry about the pain.
This is the principle we’ve talked through with our girls during this year. We’ve all had LOTS of opportunities this year. And a lot of lemons, right? So we have had many, many opportunities to decide what to do with those lemons.
Recently we did some traveling on the east coast and in the midwest, visiting family, friends, and supporters. While ALL of it was wonderful, and there were many highlights, one major highlight that I’d like to also underline and make bold and emphasize in every way possible was our supporting church in Kansas! Let me tell you, these guys have taken this ‘pandemic year’ and they have seized the new opportunities and the new needs that have arisen, and they have whole-heartedly run the race set before them! So many folks there expressed to us their JOY over how the Lord has been working in new ways they never could have imagined! Praise God, yes?
We also just returned from participating in a conference for many global workers, and it was such an encouragement to listen to fellow workers sharing how these times have not restricted them, rather, the Lord has opened new doors of opportunity. As they shared, all we have to do is to open our eyes and see what the Lord is doing and ask Him how we can be involved! Praise the Lord!
In family news, our girls are glad to finally be able to attend school in person part-time! They’re looking forward also to hopefully attending a summer camp before we go back to PNG, as well as a few family camping trips.
We are now in the process of packing up our belongings, and packing our bags for PNG, and working on the extensive paperwork that is required to travel at this time.
Thank you for your prayers and support for us! We will have a very busy next few weeks, but we will try to write again with an update as we work toward getting back to PNG!
