Wow, this year has just flown by! We are back in Northern Ireland for a few weeks, so we can now catch our breath a little and bring you up to date with what’s been going on over the past few months.
Our daughter, Laura, and her husband Andrew, and their children, Seth, Caleb and Rachel, came to visit us in Ivory Coast during July. We had a wonderful time with them.
In early September, a group of 50 new Loron believers from various villages were baptized.
During October, 17 Loron Bible teachers and church leaders received a week of special training from a team of Global Partners missionaries. The missionaries travelled from Senegal, West Africa and worked specifically in helping the Loron folks with methods and procedures in developing good Bible lessons in the Loron language.
In November, Marina and I travelled to Guinea to visit some of our missionaries living in the country. It was encouraging to witness young and older missionaries trusting in God’s grace and guidance as they minister in this very challenging country.
Before we left the village Marina was very encouraged to be able to complete the literacy course with several Loron students. Thank you for your prayers as we continue to work among the Loron people of Ivory Coast.
