Thank You Lord!!!

May 18, 2013 by Paul and Ellen Swenson

We decided to drive through the night Wednesday to get to the embassy for Thursday.  This would be the last day they would be open before our flight.  When we were there we found out:

1.  They do not release mailed visa to a person, they only mail them back

2. No one has been working in the mail room for at least several days

3. There were many angry people there that had come back repeatedly- some had been waiting at home for months for their paperwork.

by yesterday afternoon the crowd was just pleading for their original documents- nothing they had paid for, but many were praying and then a breakthrough.  One woman said she’d do it this morning and call us when finished, but probably at one which would make flying tight.  However, she called us earlier and here were are at JFK waiting to fly to our daughter!!!!  It seemed so impossible but NOTHING is impossible with God!!!!  NOTHING!  He gave us such peace the whole time.  Somehow I knew He had brought us this far for a reason.  However, some sad news: we couldn’t get our traveling companions’ papers.  They had to miss this flight, but are headed to DC and we pray they will be joining us next week!  Thank you all for your prayers, so many friends.  I feel so very blessed for so many prayer warriors. .
