It Takes a “Village”<\/strong> (not just\u00a0a missionary)<\/strong> A\u00a0theme that\u00a0has woven its way through our last month or so has been teamwork.\u00a0 We studied in Acts how the church prayed and sent out Paul and\u00a0Barnabas from Antioch (Acts 13:1-3<\/a>).\u00a0 They didn’t go alone, the church\u00a0was behind them.\u00a0 We’ve also had the privilege to learn and pray about\u00a0different support missionaries on the field.\u00a0 Some\u00a0have had injuries and it has made things harder on their fields without them.\u00a0 We’ve also been able to visit supporters and friends on our spring break.<\/strong> As we reflect on Easter, we’re reminded that the Easter story is the greatest story ever told. \u00a0It’s a story of great hope and joy. \u00a0The reality that Jesus conquered sin and death changes everything for us. \u00a0How is it that God would chose to bring the greatest story ever told to those who’ve never heard? \u00a0He chose to use the church! \u00a0What an awesome privilege we have to be involved in bringing this message to the remotest part of the earth (Acts 1:8<\/a>). \u00a0It’s not just the Swensons\u00a0who are involved in reaching those who’ve never heard. \u00a0It begins with God using the church: to send, to pray, to give, to be His hands and feet. \u00a0We are so thankful for how God has been using the church to encourage us. \u00a0If you’re not actively involved in extending the reach of the Gospel, may we encourage you to join the team and be\u00a0a participant in\u00a0reaching out.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We highlight at Easter the power of God to forgive, make new and transform lives.\u00a0 To bring that message to the outer reaches of the world… it\u00a0takes\u00a0a\u00a0“village”… called The Church. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

What have we been up to?<\/strong> We had a lovely Spring Break week. We went to Telford Tennessee and visited all of our friends at the Telford GBC where we experienced Southern Hospitality first hand. We enjoyed getting to know folks and hiking in some beautiful places. We also were able to meet up with friends in PA and meet folks at their church\u2026 as well as see the Sight and Sound Theatre\u2019s production of \u201cMoses\u201d. We are back to school now and getting used to being back in a schedule!\u00a0 Click for more photos…<\/a><\/p>\n
