{"id":484,"date":"2016-08-24T12:35:52","date_gmt":"2016-08-24T17:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-swenson\/?p=484"},"modified":"2016-08-24T11:30:14","modified_gmt":"2016-08-24T16:30:14","slug":"the-ark-of-salvation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-swenson\/2016\/08\/24\/the-ark-of-salvation\/","title":{"rendered":"The Ark of Salvation"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_596\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-596\" style=\"width: 355px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/swensontribe.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/05\/img_20160706_102408331.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-596 \" src=\"https:\/\/swensontribe.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/05\/img_20160706_102408331.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"The Ark Encounter\" width=\"355\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-596\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Ark Encounter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This past week our family was able to go to the Ark Encounter built by Answers in Genesis in northern Kentucky.\u00a0 What a blessing it was to be able to see a life-size replica of the Ark that God told Noah to build!\u00a0 It was huge!\u00a0 What amazes me the most about the Ark is that it was God\u2019s means of salvation from the flood for those who would believe Him.\u00a0 Noah and his family were saved from the flood as God provided the instructions for the boat that would save them and God shut them in, preserving them from destruction.\u00a0 Noah believed God and God saved.\u00a0 I\u2019m thankful for how God has provided His Son, the Lamb of God, to be our salvation from the destruction that we deserve and how Jesus is our means to have our relationship with God restored.\u00a0 That\u2019s something to praise God for!\u00a0 As we look ahead to our future ministry in Papua New Guinea, we can\u2019t wait to bring the message of salvation to a people who have no idea how much God loves them and how much He desires a relationship with them.\u00a0 As we get closer to our monthly financial support need (currently we\u2019re at 63% as of\u00a0mid-July) and as we come closer to our target date to move to PNG (January 2017), it is becoming more and more real that one day, Lord willing, He will use us to be part of seeing a church established among those who are currently unreached!\u00a0 What a privilege we have and thank you to those of you that are going along with us on this journey as part of our team as you pray and give!<\/p>\n<p><strong>We Want Your Photos!<\/strong> \u00a0Please send a family photo to <a href=\"mailto:swensontribe@gmail.com\">swensontribe@gmail.com<\/a> so that we can update our address book! \u00a0Thank you!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #109e10;\"><strong>What have we been up to?
