{"id":144,"date":"2011-01-28T23:16:43","date_gmt":"2011-01-29T03:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/?p=144"},"modified":"2011-01-28T23:16:43","modified_gmt":"2011-01-29T03:16:43","slug":"god-is-doing-amazing-things","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/2011\/01\/28\/god-is-doing-amazing-things\/","title":{"rendered":"God is doing amazing things!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As missionaries living at our NTM\u2019s PNG headquarters, we often have opportunities to visit with bush missionaries who are out for medical needs, meetings, schooling, and breaks.<\/p>\n<p>Recently we were able to catch up with Jason and Nisae Williamson.\u00a0 They work among the <strong>Tobo people.<\/strong> <!--more-->Over the past few years the missionary team has worked to learn the Tobo language &amp; culture.\u00a0 Creation to Christ Bible lessons were presented and a small group of Tobo people accepted Christ\u2019s payment for their sins.\u00a0 Sadly, many decided to reject the light they were exposed to.\u00a0 Just a few weeks ago Jason, Nisae, and several Tobo Believers started a new outreach in another Tobo village about 30 minutes away.\u00a0 Jason and Nisae are very encouraged by this small group who wants to hear the Bible lessons.\u00a0 Please pray for clear understanding and that the Holy Spirit would move in the hearts of those attending.<\/p>\n<p>God is also doing amazing things amongst the <strong>Akolet people<\/strong>.\u00a0 Early last month missionaries Adam &amp; Julie Martin and Ryan &amp; Sarah Warner began the first Creation to Christ Bible lessons.\u00a0 Recently the Akolet heard about the results of Adam &amp; Eve\u2019s sin in the garden and God\u2019s promise to send a Deliver to crush Satan.\u00a0 Two Akolet, <strong>Kotme<\/strong> and<strong> Dina,<\/strong> both said eagerly, \u201cThis was such a big lesson!\u00a0 We know God\u2019s going to send a Rescuer now.\u00a0 We just have to keep coming and hearing more!\u201d\u00a0 Just imagine how excited they will be when they hear that Jesus our Deliver has come!!\u00a0 Please join us in prayer for the salvation of the Akolet people!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Few Laborers Make for Many Hats<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Besides our normal ministries at the hangar, we also have many other chances to serve here.\u00a0 The opportunities always seem to outnumber the amount of time and energy we have.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure you can relate.\u00a0 J\u00a0 Please join us in prayer for wisdom and discernment as we schedule out our time.<\/p>\n<p>Here are few prayer requests regarding some of the <em>extra <\/em>activities we are involved in:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_149\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-149\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-149\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2011\/01\/Reading-Festival-040smallest1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Reading to the 2nd grade class.\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2011\/01\/Reading-Festival-040smallest1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2011\/01\/Reading-Festival-040smallest1.jpg 862w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-149\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Reading to the 2nd grade class.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Children\u2019s Church Teachers \u2013 Pray for our teaching team as we have the tremendous responsibility of imparting God\u2019s truths to these young MKs (missionary kids).\u00a0\u00a0 NTMA Committee \u2013 Paul is part of our aviation committee here in PNG.\u00a0 Please pray for them as they make decisions and seek the Lord for direction.<\/li>\n<li>Care Team \u2013 We are both part of a team that works to foster fellowship amongst our multi-cultural missionary families here. \u00a0Please pray for unity!<\/li>\n<li>Speaking\/teaching \u2013 From time to time Paul is asked to teach a class out at the Interface campus or speak in our Sunday morning church service.\u00a0 This is an awesome responsibility for Paul and he sure would appreciate your prayers!\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_151\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-151\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-151\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2011\/01\/DSC03110smaller-300x192.jpg\" alt=\"Paul teaching a class on prayer.  \" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2011\/01\/DSC03110smaller-300x192.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2011\/01\/DSC03110smaller.jpg 467w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-151\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Paul teaching a class on prayer.  <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li>\n<li>Encouraging our bush missionaries \u2013 just like you all encourage and support us, we try to do what we can to encourage our friends serving in isolated tribal locations.\u00a0 This might be something as simple as having them over for a meal or could even involve flying out to visit them.\u00a0 Please pray that we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit\u2019s leading in this matter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We wanted to share a little bit of what life is like here \u2013 not to boast in self but to boast in the Lord;
