{"id":218,"date":"2012-05-01T16:26:49","date_gmt":"2012-05-01T20:26:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/?p=218"},"modified":"2012-05-01T16:26:49","modified_gmt":"2012-05-01T20:26:49","slug":"heading-back-to-papua-new-guinea-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/2012\/05\/01\/heading-back-to-papua-new-guinea-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Heading Back to Papua New Guinea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In just about a week we will be boarding the first of four planes and heading back to the highlands of Papua New Guinea.\u00a0 Before we head out we wanted to share a few praises and prayer requests:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Praises:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Several folks have contributed towards the cost of our plane tickets!<\/li>\n<li>Earlier in April we had a wonderful visit to NTM Aviation\u2019s home office in McNeal, Arizona.<\/li>\n<li>Paul ended up needing minor knee surgery.\u00a0 We were able to get it taken care of in record time.\u00a0 He is still a bit sore but improving greatly!<\/li>\n<li>Phoebe is growing right before our eyes and enjoying the world of \u201csolid\u201d foods.\u00a0 To get ready for her new home, we first introduced her to sweet potatoes \u2013 a staple food in PNG.\u00a0 She LOVES them.\u00a0 <em>(Phoebe kaikai kaukau).<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer Request:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>While Phoebe has flown several times already, these will be her first international flights including a 16+ hour flight across the Pacific.<\/li>\n<li>Pray for smooth connections and on time arrivals\u2026especially in Port Moresby (the capital and our port of entry into PNG).<\/li>\n<li>Pray for us as we get settled back into life in PNG and deal with jet lag.\u00a0 (We feel like we just got Phoebe\u2019s days and nights straightened out.\u00a0 Here we go again!)<\/li>\n<li>Pray for family and friends who we have been\/will be saying good-bye to\u2026especially grandparents and aunts.<\/li>\n<li>After taking some time to help Andrea set up our home, Paul will return to work at the hangar.\u00a0 They are extremely shorthanded right now and it will only get worse as several of the guys will be leaving for home assignment (furlough).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2012\/05\/DSC04807smaller.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-221\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2012\/05\/DSC04807smaller-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2012\/05\/DSC04807smaller-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2012\/05\/DSC04807smaller.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In just about a week we will be boarding the first of four planes and heading back to the highlands of Papua New Guinea.\u00a0 Before we head out we wanted to share a few praises and prayer requests: &nbsp; Praises: Several folks have contributed towards the cost of our plane tickets!
