{"id":343,"date":"2014-06-07T20:39:55","date_gmt":"2014-06-08T00:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/?p=343"},"modified":"2014-06-07T20:39:55","modified_gmt":"2014-06-08T00:39:55","slug":"getting-settled-back-in-png","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/2014\/06\/07\/getting-settled-back-in-png\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting Settled Back in PNG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC06675s.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-344\" title=\"DSC06675s\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC06675s-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC06675s-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC06675s.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>We can hardly believe that we have been back in Papua New Guinea for a month!\u00a0 So much has happened and we want to thank you for your prayers.\u00a0 Dear friends helped get 6 checked bags, 5 carry-ons, 1 car seat, 1 stroller and all 4 Wilsons to the airport on time!\u00a0 We then joined Paul\u2019s mother, Lavon, in Dallas for the 16 hour flight across the Pacific.\u00a0 Our time in Brisbane was a bit rushed (thanks to several complications), but we boarded our flight to PNG and were sure glad to see our co-workers waiting for us and ready to help us on to our last flight&#8230;which left EARLY!!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since returning we have been busy setting up our house and enjoying having Grandma here for a few weeks.\u00a0\u00a0 Paul has returned to working in the hangar and is glad to be with the team again helping to keep our fleet flying.\u00a0 Recently several of our aviation co-workers have headed back to their own countries for home assignment.\u00a0 With them went a lot of \u201cinstitutional\u201d memories\/knowledge.\u00a0 Please pray for our limited staff as they continue to keep the flight program running\u2026.which can only be done in the Lord\u2019s strength.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea is learning how to do life with two little ones while trying to make meals and snacks that fit into Paul\u2019s limited diet.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC00901s.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-347\" title=\"DSC00901s\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC00901s-300x181.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"181\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC00901s-300x181.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC00901s.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> We have been able to find MOST of the things that we need to cook gluten, dairy, soy, corn and sugar-free.\u00a0 Having our local farmer\u2019s market has really been a plus!\u00a0 (And Phoebe has only asked for a Happy Meal once since returning).<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for praying for us as we have made this big transition back to life here in PNG.\u00a0 While still present, Paul\u2019s allergies have been manageable.\u00a0 And the flights with the kids went well&#8230;as well as can be.\u00a0 We also want to thank those who sacrifice to financially support the Lord\u2019s work here.\u00a0 Life in PNG is very expensive.\u00a0 Food, gas and power prices have gone up while we were stateside.\u00a0 We were looking at having to replace our washing machine at the cost of close to $1,000.\u00a0 (Thankfully Paul was able to discover &amp; remove the baby sock that it tried to eat).<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0New Aircraft!<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/10453362_10203821326035104_660509279048817135_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-352\" title=\"10453362_10203821326035104_660509279048817135_n\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/10453362_10203821326035104_660509279048817135_n-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/10453362_10203821326035104_660509279048817135_n-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/10453362_10203821326035104_660509279048817135_n-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/paul-wilson\/files\/2014\/06\/10453362_10203821326035104_660509279048817135_n.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>You might recall that just before we left the US, Paul was able to attend a maintenance training course for the Kodiak airplane.\u00a0 We said in our last update, \u201cWe hope and pray to receive our first Kodiak in PNG soon.\u201d\u00a0 Well just a few days before returning to PNG we got word that thanks to two anonymous donors, their large gift helped complete the purchase for one.
