Here is an update about some of the prayer points we mentioned in our October update.<\/p>\n
Many parts of Papua New Guinea are now getting good amounts of rain. We are still well behind our normal but things are starting to turn green again and the PNG folks are replanting their gardens. Please continue to pray for rain and also for the locals. It will still be several more weeks until their gardens are producing again. Many are going hungry\u2026.even to the point where they are eating roots to survive.<\/p>\n
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of PNG will be coming on Thursday (your Wednesday evening) to start their inspections. While they will also be auditing our flight and maintenance programs, the main reason for their visit is to inspect our new Kodiak and our ability to safely operate it. It is our desire that they give us a Certificate of Airworthiness<\/em><\/strong> meaning it can now be flown in country. Then we can start training our pilots and begin to use it to bring supplies and people in and out of bush locations. This is the main reason we are here\u2026 to serve our missionaries and help expedite church planting in PNG.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Here is our precious Phoebe standing next to our new Kodiak.\u00a0 Did you know that the Kodiak can carry over 1,600 lbs and still land on small grass airstrips?!!\u00a0 Not only will it be the transportation line for many of our bush missionaries, but it is our ambulance!\u00a0 That\u2019s right\u2026.we will eventually be using our Kodiaks to do medical evacuations all the way to Cairns, Australia.<\/p>\n
