\"\"We landed in Singapore and worked our way clumsily up the jetway.\u00a0 Our almost empty Airbus 350 was a welcome break from our previous domestic flights, but we were fighting jetlag and needed showers and sleep.\u00a0 Airport employees, in full PPE, welcomed us by name and provided special bracelets identifying us as \u201ctransitioning\u201d passengers.\u00a0 We were then personally escorted, walking what seemed like the entire length of the Singapore airport, to a processing station where we were approved to remain until our flights to Papua New Guinea.\u00a0 Then we were escorted back through the almost empty airport to our transit hotel where we were not allowed to leave until they came for us.\u00a0 9 hours later, post showers, food and sleep, we were escorted to our next flight\u2026 the flight that finally took us back to Papua New Guinea.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"So what do you think?\u00a0 Would you have felt like royalty or prisoners?\u00a0 So much depends on your perspective.\u00a0 We were just so excited and amazed at our Lord\u2026 how He worked it out for us to return during these challenging times (and luggage too).<\/p>\n

Thank you for all who prayed.\u00a0 The journey was extra long but it had its bright moments.\u00a0 We made it safely to our highlands home where we quarantined for 2 weeks.\u00a0 We enjoyed visiting with folks from a distance while we unpacked and got settled.<\/p>\n

Normal?\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Will we ever get back to normal? What is\/was \u201cnormal\u201d? Isn\u2019t it always changing anyway, just faster now days.<\/p>\n

We are close to \u201cnormal\u201d as Paul has gotten back into the work routine at the hangar and has all his recurring training complete. He is a bit gimpy lately as he rolled his ankle stepping off our precarious back porch. He is in a Velcro boot for two weeks now and needs to take it easy. That\u2019s pretty easy as there aren\u2019t many sports or social activities going on due to the end of the school year exodus and COVID restrictions.<\/p>\n

Andrea has gotten homeschool going and the kids have been doing great. Now the challenge as their friends are outside playing because… their school year is done. Please pray they can focus as they have catching up to do in order to be ready for the start of school in August.<\/p>\n

Also, pray for us as we are accepting a part-time ministry for Andrea here on center once the kids are in school (August). More on that next time.<\/p>\n

Thank you for being willing to pray <\/i>for <\/i><\/b>us and <\/i>with <\/i><\/b>us as we walk through these chaotic days and months<\/i>. Also, thank you to those who support us financially. We know it is a sacrifice and we appreciate it. <\/i><\/p>\n

  • Praise:<\/span> <\/b>Many new believers here are growing and maturing in Christ in Amdu, Pei and Wantakia.<\/li>\n
  • Praise: <\/b><\/span>God is providing family and friends to visit and encourage Paul\u2019s parents as they recover.<\/li>\n
  • Prayer: <\/b><\/span>That we as a family would heal from a tummy bug that has hit us hard. \u201cWelcome back!\u201d<\/li>\n
  • Prayer:<\/span> <\/b>That we would continue to grow in our faith!<\/li>\n
  • Prayer: <\/b><\/span>That Phoebe & Joshua would be able to focus and get homeschooling complete.<\/li>\n
  • Prayer: <\/b><\/span>Paul\u2019s mom is suffering with nerve pain in her hip\/lower back and low sodium. For his dad as he heals from a bump on his head\/neck from a fall (balance).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
