Last week we had “Good News/Bad News” —- this week we have AMAZING NEWS! Our house has sold!!! And we invite you to join our praise party! Last Thursday our realtor called and told us we had a bid on the house. The offer was low and we prayerfully considered our counter-offer and eventually came up with a price that was acceptable to both of us. It was lower than we’d hoped — but we realized the miracle of having a buyer with all that’s going on in the economy. It’s wonderful to be able to rest in our all-knowing God — confident that, in this area also — He is totally in control!
We’ve mentioned the possibility of moving North to Missouri where the NTM Missionary Training Center is located, and with the sale of the house and the expressed desire of the Leadership Team at the MTC to have us serve there — we realize that God is opening the doors for us to do this. Todd and Starr with their spouses have been challenging us and encouraging us to make this move as they see a huge potential for us in ministry with the staff and students up there. They would also like to have us near where they will be able to help us in the future, thinking of both of our health issues. We will tell you more about this ministry at another time. You know us well enough to know that we are “people-people”!J We love to be personally involved in lives — to love them, encourage them, and be their cheerleaders! We ALL need cheerleaders, don’t we?!
Psalm 71 — is a wonderful reminder and pretty well describes our hearts as we make this move. Verses 17 through 19 are ….
O God, thou hast taught me from my youth:
and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not;
until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation,
and thy power to every one that is to come.
Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things:
O God, who is like unto thee!
On the 15th of this month I’ll find out if the bone fusion in my wrist is sufficient for surgery to remove the plate. The timing of our move North all depends when this can take place. I will probably wait to have my neck surgery until after we move up there. We are looking into doctors at the University of Columbia up in Columbia, MO. Evidently, the medical facilities there are excellent. We are confident that we’ll find good help for Paul also. And so — the Wyma-saga continues! Can we please just go back to living in the jungle with no electricity — naked Indians — and hours of travel over muddy roads?!J (That almost sounds like a piece of cakeJ). No — we are where we are — and God is leading, directing and giving grace each step of the way!
Thank you for praying for us!!
Paul and Faith
