Let the Journey Begin!

August 10, 2010 by Payton and Grace Downing

We leave the lovely state of Colorado tomorrow morning at 7am with our friend, Garran. I think I might just cry as the mountains fall out of view. I will miss the fresh mountain air and being able to drive an hour and escape into the woods.

Today was filled with packing. We’re exhausted to say the least, but God is good! I promise to post pictures of our car and our adventures as soon as we settle in to Jackson. It’s been such a good weekend, filled with the blessings of knowing that so many people are praying for us. I was overwhelmed by our family of believers at Austin Bluffs. I will miss all of the amazing people we’ve met in our three years here.

At the same time, I cannot contain the excitement of knowing that a new chapter has been opened in our lives. And, of course, I will be able to see all of my brothers and sisters in Christ from Warrendale, and my family!

I hope that your move goes well! Sometimes I think that for some people (like you and me!) life will always be full of transitions.
