Arrival

August 15, 2010 by Payton and Grace Downing

We did, in fact, arrive at New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan, but only after driving straight through from Colorado Springs. I swore I wouldn’t, because I hate driving long hours, but apparently God had other plans. We ended up having to continue our drive because of huge storms in Iowa that would have made camping miserable! Driving was miserable too. A guy at the gas station told us that if we drove 25 miles, we could outrun the storm…109 miles later, we finally got to light rain. Here’s the picture of our Forrester, fully loaded. It sunk even further as the trip progressed. I’ll post more in a day or so after we’ve finished more of the unpacking. We have a week until school starts!
