\"\"<\/a>The summer’s bounty has been incredible this year, has it not? I am currently snacking on some chard, spinach and green beans from the garden–you know, the one I almost didn’t plant this summer. The past few nights we have eaten sauteed squash for dinner, the patty pan being my personal favorite. I also have some weird, green, french squash and, of course, the yellow straightneck. Then, earlier today I was privileged to snack on my friend Robyn’s tinsy little tomatoes, which tasted like garden candy. Ooooooh! I almost forgot the carrots and the pickling cucumbers that I devoured! And then, there was the jam. So, you’re probably thinking, “Hey, I thought she said she was busy trying to move.” Well, the truth is, I couldn’t stop from sneaking in a little bit of normal life, like holding on to the blueberries for all they are worth. So, I made blueberry jam. I’m pretty sure it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted!!! I sat on the floor with the jar and my very ugly piece of bread (due to the fact that I had to hack all of the mold off of every side) and topped it with what looked like pie filling. My pb&j got a facelift for sure.<\/p>\n

Besides that, the Lord has been teaching me to change my way of thinking. I have been working through the reality that I may not feel “at home” quite a bit during the next six years. I tried counting how many times we will probably move and it made me dizzy. In the middle of thinking about all of the potential inconveniences I might face, the Lord reminded me that planet Earth really isn’t my home. There are so many things that go along with that idea of not calling this world home. I am only at the beginning of this whole concept, but I am excited to see what God will change in my heart especially as we transition into a new phase of life in less than two weeks. Already, I’ve had change my focus to the future that God has prepared for us with him in eternity. I know that He will continue to grow this truth in me until it’s rooted down deep within me!<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
