Leah and I are still smiling from having such a great time with our kids and grandkids!
In late October, Shaun and Melanie and their three kids came home from Paraguay for a short time of leave.
At the same time, Deryk and Ivy and their two little ones came up from Texas to spend a week with us. It was so wonderful to be together.
Then at Christmas, Dan and Cheralyn and their four children came from Rhode Island…
…with Dan and Kiki arriving soon after with their baby-in-waiting – what a memorable time we had!
In January, Shaun and Mel and family flew out to California where they were thoroughly spoiled by Leah’s family, and the church group there. They arrived back up to Canada blessed and encouraged from their visit. Now they are working on packing up their things for the trip back to Paraguay, and their calendar is filling up as they enjoy visits from folks in this area.
A special blessing at the end of 2010 was that my brother Paul, who is recovering from cancer, was well enough to come to Canada with his wife, Kathleen, for my Mom’s 80th birthday. What a thrill for us all!
Would you please pray about a restoration plan we are submitting to local authorities that will allow me to repair the dam down by the log cabin, and refill the pond? Last month we were advised of the possibility of our request being denied because of environmental concerns. We know that only God decides!
“There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.”(Proverbs 21:30)
Leah and I love our ministry here at Still Waters! Thank you for praying for us as we continue to meet with missionaries and friends who are experiencing difficult times and desire to be reminded of His truth.
We have appreciated your emails, phone calls and gifts that support and sustain us every day. We always thank God for your partnership with us, and are privileged to bring your requests before Him, too.
