A week later, Leah flew down to Houston with the kids to meet up with them, after which they drove to their home in Corpus Christi where Dan is stationed.

Kayleigh was born on November 16th, 2007. We had such a lovely time with them.

A few days later, our family gathered for a wonderful reunion with our kids and grandkids; everyone was able to be at Still Waters except for Max, Zuly, and Naomi, who live in Peru.

Our reunion was everything we had hoped for! Dan and Kiki Jongewaard came from Iowa, and Dan and Cher and family from Texas. Shaun, Mel, and Deryk and Ivy and their kids are here in Durham already. We had so much fun talking, eating, and not doing all that much! It was the first time some of them had met each other’s spouses and children.

Here at Still Waters, Peter has been busy with a long work-list. Thanks to special gifts, we have been able to hire both Shaun, who is on home leave from Paraguay, and Deryk, who is in missions training, to help with the load.

You’ll be glad to hear that the doors are installed, the firewood in, and the last coats of varnish are going on the hardwood floor.
